~~
Anna Garcia passed away at the age of 92 at the New York Presbyterian Hospital (Booth Memorial) in Flushing, Queens.  She was born on January 9, 1925 in La Habana, Cuba, daughter of Estefan Waño (Stefan Wanio) and Eufemia Kusio.  She married Raul Garcia on February 28, 1947 in Cuba.  He preceded her in death November 15, 1997.  They were married for 50 years.

Anna emigrated to the U.S. in 1962.  Lived in Miami, Florida for 6 months before moving to NYC.  She worked at Saks Fifth Avenue for 20 years surrounded by the fashion world she so much loved.  But her greatest love was always that of family.   Anna always made sure that we all sat down for dinner as a family.  And she instilled in her daughters moral values and family unity.   She was very creative in all artistic endeavors like designing, decorating, drawing and writing.  She loved traveling with her daughters. She enjoyed watching English mysteries and specials.  Late in life, she enjoyed watching soccer games, specially Cristiano Ronaldo of Real Madrid.

She is survived by her two daughters Vivian Anna and Lourdes Garcia, her nephews Jose Manuel, Lisbeth, Zulema and Carlos Garcia Morillo and their spouses and children.

She will be cremated on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at 9:30am and her ashes will rest at Maple Grove Cemetery along side her husband's.
