Patrick Joseph Mooney, age 85, of 72-61 113th Street Apt. 6T, Forest Hills died Saturday, November 9, 2013 at home in Forest Hills. Mr. Mooney was born January 22, 1928 in Galway, Ireland. He is the son of the late Patrick and the late Mary (Keeley) Mooney.
He was employed by as a carpenter and later in life as a bartender with his brothers at Mooney's Pub in Brooklyn, New York.
He is survived by two daughters: Philomena of Woodbury, NY, and Bernadette of Chicago, IL., daughter in law Susan Mooney, sons in law Dr. Chito Pacis and Anwar Haikim, and grandfather to: James, Jenna Mooney, Brett and Taylor Pacis, Nicole and Ashley Haikim and great grandfather to Aston and Mia Mooney. Other surviving family members are his sister Brigid Tully (nee Mooney) and brother Michael Mooney
He is the father of the late Kevin Mooney and husband to the late Jane (Kehoe) Mooney. He is also predeceased by his sister Margaret and brothers john, kevin & Martin.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held 9:30 am on Thursday, November 21 at Church Of Our Lady Queen Of Martyrs, 110-06 Queens Boulevard, Forest Hills, NY. A graveside service will be held 11:30 am on Thursday, November 21, 2013 at St. Charles Cemetery, Conklin Street, Farmingdale, NY.
