I just learned of Pete’s passing today. Pete was my first cousin on my mother’s side. Though 3+ years older than me, we shared many evening's and overnights at our grandmother’s home along with our other younger cousins. Being an older rascal, Peter would do his best to have the night spirits keep us awake well into the night. I remember him as always being a sharp dresser, great talker, with the typical Italian flare. He used this to his advantage when he had summer jobs onboard ocean liners going to and from NY and europe, learning fluent Italian on the way. After a very short fling in the Army and knowing it wasn’t for him, my dad was able to get him discharged early so he could pursue his advance degrees and career in Psychology. I lost social track of him in the mid 70’s when he moved from NYC to a large farm some where in NY. He did very well in life and I know his father & mother would be proud of him. My sincere condolences to all his family in his passing.
