Khalid, I miss you very much. I tried my best to wake you up after they disconnected you. I was yelling your name, begging you to wake up, move your arms, open your eyes, and get on your feet for over 10 minutes. I totally lost it. Mom thought they were going to call security on me. I had to stop because Mom was crying too much.
You were an inspiration to me, whether it was helping me put on my first tie for school, giving me advice, or shaping me into a better man. You were a great brother, son, husband, and father to two wonderful kids. You introduced me to great music, including heavy metal and hard rock bands such as Iron Maiden, Ozzy, Led Zeppelin, Neil Young, and countless others, and you got me into watching the Yankees and wrestling.
While I was on the treadmill the other day, I saw you at a beach in heaven, running super fast and flying. You felt like you were Superman. You were even teasing me, showing off how fast you were running. You kept stopping to wave and say hello to me. You had a very big smile, and you looked so happy in heaven, but you kept running. You could not stop running, Khalid. I hope to join you someday.
You are in heaven now, at peace and free from suffering. I will think of you every day for the rest of my life. I love you deeply, and so do Mom and all your brothers. We pray to be reunited with you in Heaven one day.

Khalid and I go back a long ways at work. He was a friend, part of my work family, and a truly happy soul and confidante. Khalid and I sat next to each other for 6 or 7 years, but we were work buddies for 20 years. We saw people come and go, but we were a team and dedicated to FINRA's mission. Khalid was very proud of his family and our children played together in the office. I will miss him greatly. I pray for his family at this time of loss.

The fondest memories of Khalid is what will make me smile; the legacy he leaves in his wonderful wife and beautiful children is what will comfort me with his loss. There are so many memories I have of my big brother, whether from when we were growing up as kids or more recently with his amazing wife and loving children.
When we were much younger, we shared a bedroom. Many nights, after bedtime, he would record a "radio show" on a cassette player while I listened, entertained. Often, I would fall asleep during his show, but I’m sure he kept going with his radio rants. After all, he loved to talk. Those nights, filled with his voice echoing through the room, are some of my earliest memories of how he could light up any space with his energy and creativity.
Growing up, my older brother was the one who taught me so many things. It’s because of him that I have my hobbies. In many ways, I was his mini-me. He taught me how to play baseball and how to grip and throw a football. When we played baseball at the park across the street from our house, he would often hit long home runs that landed on other people’s property. I marveled at how far the ball would go when he hit it and always tried to copy his swing so I could hit long home runs too. His strength and skill were something I idolized, and I spent countless hours trying to be just like him.
It’s only because of him that I’m a Yankees fan, a wrestling fan, and that I got into the finance world. I remember meeting with a guidance counselor in high school. She asked what I wanted to major in for college. I said "business," and when she asked why, I told her it’s because Khalid, my older brother, was also getting into that. She told me I had to be my own person. What she didn’t understand was that we shared the same interests—not just because I was his mini-me, but because we were so alike. It wasn’t only about following him; it was about sharing a bond so deep that his passions became mine, and I found my own path through the one he paved.
His dedication to his family is another quality of my brother that I hope to emulate. He was always there for Gabby and Thomas and all their activities. Whether it was dance classes or sports, his commitment to his wife and children serves as a path for me to follow. I guess what I’m saying is that I’ve often followed in his footsteps, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to have such a great person lead by example. Watching him build a life filled with love and support showed me what it means to be a husband, a father, and a brother—not just in title, but in action.
Khalid was more than my big brother; he was my hero, my teacher, and my guide. Even now, as I reflect on all he’s given me, I realize his influence will never fade. The lessons he taught me, the laughter we shared, and the love he showed to everyone around him—these are the pieces of him I carry forward. I’ll always be his mini-me, not because I’m trying to copy him, but because he helped shape me into the person I am today. For that, I’ll be forever thankful.

A: Man of Conviction
I often discussed various hot button issues with Khalid during company get togethers. From compliance rules, government policies, sports, and current events. Khalid never shied away from arguing his perspective and vehemently at that. Luckily we were often on the same side of the argument so the discussions did not drag on very long. I will miss Khalid for his knowledge, his friendly demeanor, and being such a fantastic human being. My condolences to his family and friends. I hope you rest in peace Khalid!

I was so saddened to hear about Khalid. Khalid was a wonderful person. May the good memories with Khalid bring you peace and comfort.
When I first joined the team, Khalid was very welcoming, kind, and first to offer help when needed. Khalid was very passionate and a hard working person. There were times where Khalid would talk about Gabby and Thomas, which he was proud of, and I would talk about my son. It felt like family. I haven't been working with Khalid for long but he is definitely a great person.
