
Obituary of Eva Anolin
Eva Vergara Anolin, age 78, of Jamaica, Queens, passed away peacefully on March 26, 2025. Born in Umingan, Pangasinan, Philippines, Eva's life was a testament to dedication, compassion, and unwavering love for her family.
Eva was preceded in death by her parents, Leovigildo and Patria Anolin, her sister Myrna, and her nephew Egay. She is survived by her loving siblings: Lena Racelis and her husband Arturo; Edgar Anolin and his wife Natividad; Leah Ewoldt and her husband Bob; Nora Verespie and her husband Bill; Daisy Langley and her husband Stephen; and Samuel Anolin and his wife Maricel. Our beloved Eva (Tita Ebeb) will also be deeply missed by her numerous nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and nephews, cousins, as well as her many friends and extended family members.
Eva's childhood in Umingan was filled with the close bonds of siblinghood and friendships with fellow classmates from the St.Luke’s Hospital School of Nursing in Manila, that remained strong throughout her life. For over 40 years, she served as a dedicated Nurse and Nurse Manager at Mary Immaculate Hospital in Queens, where her nurturing spirit and unwavering kindness touched the lives of countless patients and colleagues.
Known for her willingness to lend a helping hand, Eva was a beacon of strength and support for her siblings and family. Her memory will be forever cherished by all who knew her, and her legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire.
Throughout her life, Eva demonstrated a remarkable ability to connect with others and make them feel valued and appreciated. Her compassion extended beyond her family, touching the lives of everyone she met.
A viewing will be held at Fox Funeral Home in Forest Hills, Queens, NY on Sunday, March 30th from 3PM-7PM. Funeral Mass to celebrate Eva's life will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, March 31st at St. Ann Church, 481 Brewster St., Black Rock, Bridgeport, CT. Burial will be at the Gate of Heaven cemetery in Trumbull, CT following the mass.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
