I remember fondly when Michael & his brother, Daniel, would join us at Silver Point Beach Club. Michael, Daniel & his Mom, Michelle, shared a cabanette with us Summer of 2008. Michael was always polite & considerate. It was a joy to have Michael around my two boys, Danny & Dawson. Michael was full of energy as he played at the PS144 schoolyard with my boys.
Later, as an older teenager, I would see Michael working at the same nursing home where his mother worked & where I provided pet therapy. Michael was always kind & respectful with the elderly & infirmed residents.
Although a parent should never have to bury their child, we can take solace in knowing that we were privileged to have been gifted with Michael's presence for whatever amount of time we were able to have with Michael. I hope Michael's family finds comfort that he was a great friend to many, especially me and my boys. His kindness elevated everyone around him. We are all so much better for having known Michael.

My Dear Michael. It’s a sad time knowing u won’t be around us. But u will always be in our Hearts. And everyone will have loving and caring memories of u . I remember and am thankful for all the very special time spent at your home when you were growing up. I remember when mom was expecting you and the joy in her heart when she welcomed you. I will cherish these wonderful memories forever.

We only knew Michael for a short time. He joined our St. Margaret Chior. He was a quiet soul. He had a deep and wonderful voice. We don't understand when God chooses us to go home. I can only think he wanted him to sing with the Angels. We are sad we did not get to know him better and he will be missed by our group. Our prayer go out to his family and friend durning this sad time.

So many beautiful memories of our boys having sleepovers and Mike being the peacemaker when Dan and Brandon were about to fight. The many weekends we spent at the McDonald’s playground just so we could chit chat while they ran around. Trick or treating on Metropolitan Ave. Birthday parties and coloring eggs the night before Easter. So many special memories they shared - we shared. Mike was always so sweet and respectful and those eyes would make someone melt. Mike was special to me and Brandon and we will never forget him!

We are never ready when a part of our family is taken so abruptly. Especially a soul like Michael, who was a beacon of light in a dark and troubled world. Michael was the sweetest person you could ever hope to meet. Kind and upbeat, with a quick sense of humor and a beautiful smile. He left us too soon and he will be greatly missed by those who were blessed to know him.
