Michael Eric Van Nostrand Ward

11/14/97-5/27/25

Michael passed away peacefully at home on the morning of May 27th. He contributed more to this world during his brief on Earth than most people do in a lifetime. Everyone who knew Michael loved him deeply. He was always kind, encouraging, supportive and loving to all. He was incredibly insightful and gave the greatest advice when asked. He had an amazing sense of humor and an ear for language. He spent years studying German, Russian and Mandarin. An avid reader, he always had a paperback of a classic book in his knapsack. Michael was happiest in Nature, doing outdoor activities with his brother and best friend, Daniel. Our years in Pennsylvania were some of the most wonderful times in our lives. Michael and Daniel were inseparable and often mistaken for being twins. They lived together, worked together and still always wanted to spend time together. Michael was a man who could always be trusted and depended on; always reliable, honest and compassionate. He was the most wonderful son, brother, grandson, nephew and friend. It is a comfort to know that he is with his beloved Papa (his grandfather, George Van Nostrand). There are no words to adequately describe this gentle soul or the void that his passing has left. It is my hope that we will honor his legacy of kindness, humility and compassion by incorporating these values into our own lives. Rest In Peace and Love our dear Michael.
