I stepped into the alcohol industry beyond the general F & B service work about 16 years ago. At that point, I started attending industry events and met Esteban. From the moment we met, he gave me the giggles! He was so funny as he broke the ice with me at an event. Esteban made me feel so comfortable amongst strangers. From that day we became friends. I will never forget the most memorable experience I had with him when we ran into each other at a Tri state portfolio event. Me and Esteban represented our brands at the time giving tastings. Post event he offered to take me and another industry friend who also worked that event back to Manhattan. So I skipped my brands transportation arrangement and went back to the city with them. It was the MOST HILARIOUS experience I had with Esteban! The entire trip home was filled with laughter. I truly believe he missed his opportunity at stand up comedy. Upon return to the city, we stopped for dinner and the joyful comedy experience continued. I would never forget his magnitude of love and laughter. He was a fine human being! May the love and light that he exuded from his soul be a remembrance to all of us.
