Jimmy's heart was a big as his talent. One of the high moments of my life was to have played with Jimmy at the 2012 IAA 69'-72' or so Reunion. I called him "Big Bro" and Martha "Big Sis." How I will miss him! Danny "B"

Carter was a one of kind man and it was a genuine honour to be able to work with him and know him. He gave a college student a shot and continued to be encouraging and compassionate even after I finished my animation project all those years ago. His music was inspiring and his kind heart and patience brightened up the darkest of days. Thank you for being a part of my childhood through your voices in many animated series like Pokémon, thank you for having faith and believing in a poor college student in the UK to achieve their dream, thanks you for bringing comfort during hard times, thank you for your encouragement, thank you for being an amazing person and friend. May the your memories live on in everyone who knew you and may your family find comfort in how much you were loved by so many people all over the world.

In every time, in every place, Jimmy made me feel special. Whether cleaning my clock at the bumper pool table in the dorm basement, or talking music in his loft in NY, or trading stories in the corner of a room at an IAA reunion, Jimmy lifted my spirits. Rest peacefully my friend.

Q: How did you meet James? A: I met James through my older brother, back in the early 70's. It was just in the past ten years I reconnected with him. My thoughts and prayers are with all of his family, both in home and music world. May James rest in peace.
