It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of Steven Michael Michel (aka Esco, Steve, and Mira) who passed away by accidental drowning on Saturday July 19, 2025, His passing comes as a shock from the sudden loss, he was surrounded by the people who loved him.

Steven was born on August18,1980 to Lidia Michel and Oriol Petit-Tom in Brooklyn, New York.  Steven was a beloved son, brother, nephew, cousin, uncle, friend, father and husband. Steven is survived by his wife, Shafon Bratcher- Michel, his children Scarlett and Sophie Michel and his brothers Luis Vera and Ariel Michel. Steven will be remembered by his wife and two children, as well as numerous other family members and friends. Your kind words continue to encourage us now, as we celebrate Steven’s life, and process the profundity of losing him too soon.
