Ronnie was married to her husband Dan for 35 years before his passing in 2011. She was a graduate of St. John’s University and was a career employee at New York Life in Manhattan, retiring in 2011 as an assistant vice president.
After retiring she devoted much of her time to Our Lady Queen of Martyrs parish. Among other things, she served as a Eucharistic minister, regularly bringing communion to local nursing homes. She also volunteered as a Religious Education cathecist, did Confirmation preparation and sponsoring, and volunteered as an RCIA/OCIA teacher before taking on the role of DIrector of RCIA/OCIA in 2019, which she continued until her passing.
While volunteering at OLQM she returned to study at St. John’s, earning her Master’s Degree in Theology in 2019. In recognition of her service to the parish she received Papal Honors in 2020, bestowed by the Diocese of Brooklyn on behalf of Pope Francis during a ceremony at the Cathedral of St. James in Brooklyn.
Ronnie loved to travel and visited many religious sites in Rome, Fatima, Lourdes, and the Holy Land. She loved her dog Remy and the feeling was mutual. She was a loving, dedicated, thoughtful and generous aunt, sister-in-law and friend and will be greatly missed.
