In Loving Memory of Veronica Cowan

It is with heartfelt sorrow that we announce the passing of Veronica Cowan, who left us on 10/14/2025 at the age of 90. Born in Brooklyn, New York on 09/30/1935. Veronica was a beloved spouse, parent, grandparent and friend whose kindness, generosity, and vibrant spirit touched everyone who knew her.

A Life of Dedication

Veronica dedicated her life to teaching, inspiring countless children as a devoted school teacher. She found great joy in helping young minds learn and grow, and her legacy will live on through her students. Outside the classroom, Veronica was passionate about cooking, gardening, and exploring the world. Her love of food brought family and friends together around the table, her green thumb nurtured beauty wherever she lived, and her adventurous spirit led her to discover new places and cultures.

Family and Legacy

Veronica is survived by her close family daughters Caroline, Laura (Robert son in law), Susan, grandchildren Kristen and Quinton, who will carry forward the lessons and love she shared. Her memory will be cherished by a wide circle of extended family, dear friends, and the many students whose lives she touched.

Celebration of Life

A memorial service will be held on 10/19/2025 at 3-6 pm, located at Fox Funeral Home at 98-07 Ascan Avenue Forest Hills, NY 11375. Family and friends are invited to gather, share memories, and celebrate a remarkable life. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in Veronica's honor. A link below is provided.

Veronica will be remembered for her warmth, laughter, and unwavering love. Though she is no longer with us, her legacy will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate to know her. May she rest in peace.
