Serena Patricia Macaluso
February 14,1937 - October 24, 2025
Serena Macaluso was born in New York on Valentine's Day; the first child of Frances and Joseph Macaluso. She was the eldest of five children comprised of two brothers and two sisters. The Macaluso family lived in Bucks County, Pennsylvania for approximately ten years, then returned to New York. Serena enjoyed urban life and moved to Greenwich Village as a young woman in the 1960's. She secured a position with an early animated production company in Manhattan and assisted in the production of "stop motion" Christmas and Holiday television specials. She referred to these as her "Holly Golightly Years", after Truman Capote's heroine. Serena later worked as an agent for the NYS Department of Taxation and Finance from which she retired.
She is survived by two sisters, Victoria Pepitone and JoAnn McGrane, a brother Michael Macaluso, and nephews James Pepitone, Matthew Pepitone, Kristian Bornemann, and Jason Macaluso;nieces Jennifer Macaluso and Alessandra Macaluso.
Her family believes she is at rest with God; a perfect place to be.
