Renate Vecchione Obituary

We mourn the loss of Renate Vecchione who peacefully passed away on November 4th.

She spent several decades in the modeling industry. She began her career as a childhood talent, working regularly with stars such as Brooke Shields and Linda Blair. In her twenties she became an accomplished model agent working with the top male models in two world renowned agencies, Zoli Model Management and Click Model Managment. At both agencies she created and ran successful children’s divisions, nurturing young talents.

In later years, Renate was a dedicated Math and English tutor and a beloved substitute teacher. She was a cherished member of Our Lady of Mercy Parish in Forest Hills, where she served faithfully as a lector, a sacristan, a former president of the Rosary Society, and a member of the Linen Squad and Consolation Committee. Her unwavering faith, kindness, and commitment to Our Lady of Mercy parish community will be deeply missed.

Renate will be especially remembered for her warm smile and her encouraging words that always directed others toward God and His beloved Son, Jesus. She joyfully, devotionally, and lovingly shared her faith with those around her, expressing her deep love for Jesus, and His blessed mother, under the special title of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception, to whom she held a heartfelt devotion.

She is survived by her beloved son, Miles White and his wife, Megan; her dear sister, Roseanne Vecchione and her dear sister in law, Dr. Loretta French; her dear Breakfast Club friends, Fabienne Danies and Fran Sidlo; and countless other treasured friends whose lives she touched with her warmth and kindness.
