Witold Bialokur, beloved husband, father, grandfather, runner, coach, tango dancer, mechanical engineer, and graduate of Krakow Polytechnic, passed away on November 12, 2025. He was 90.
Witold was the founder and coach of Witold’s Runners, one of New York’s oldest running clubs, where he inspired generations of athletes. He competed in over 250 NY Road Runner races over his running career. Beyond running, he was known for his skills on the tango floor, embodying elegance and connection in every dance. His professional life as a mechanical engineer reflected the same precision and dedication that defined his passions.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Urszula Bialokur; his children, Monika Bialokur and Michael Bialokur; his daughter-in-law, Christina Conklin; and his cherished grandchildren, Emmy Elson, Alexander Elson, and Derek Bialokur.
A memorial gathering was held in Forest Hills, NY, to celebrate his life. Burial will take place in Krakow, Poland in 2026.
