Cynthia was born on December 11, 1945, to Maximino and Milagros Villamaria, the seventh of twelve children. Born in the Philippines, she eventually made New York her home.
She was a remarkable mother and wife, offering unwavering love, strength, and support to her family. She was maternal by nature, which extended to everything she did. Cynthia had a gentle way of putting others first-caring for her siblings, bringing warmth to her home with thriving plants, doting on her cats and making sure her friends always felt remembered.
She is survived by her son, Vernon Balanza, her daughter, Hannah Balanza Strauss, and her son-in-law, Steve Strauss, who will all miss her smile, anecdotes, and most of all, love.
