Obituary of Franklin T. Schleifer

Tim Schleifer passed away on 22 January 2020 at Sands Point Health and Rehabilitation Center. Born on 19 February 1943, Tim was a lifelong New Yorker who loved all the city had to offer. A music aficionado, he treasured his subscription to Lincoln Center, but was equally at home rooting on the locals at Yankee or Shea stadium. Tim spent most of his professional life working as a bartender at Neiderstein’s restaurant in Middle Village and is remembered fondly by the many patrons with whom that he came in contact. Tim is survived by his brothers Jon and Geoff, his sister-in-law Edith as well as 3 nieces and 2 nephews. We will all miss him dearly.
