Ann Theresa Houseman Obituary

Ann Houseman was born on October 19, 1936 in the Bronx, New York, the second daughter of George and Catherine Inserra, sister of Kay.

Ann met her husband, John Houseman, while the two worked at Blue Cross Blue Shield. They were married on October 31, 1959.   Ann and John welcomed three children together, John, Theresa, and Donna. Ann was a devout Catholic and active parishioner at Our Lady of Mercy and she instilled the importance of faith in her children and grandchildren.

Ann loved entertaining family and friends, and was responsible for bringing many generations together, especially in Hunter Mountain, where she hosted her children, nieces, nephews, and grandchildren for many summers. She loved spending time in the sun, sitting by North/South Lake in the late autumn afternoons, fishing with her daughter, Tracy, and enjoying the beach with her husband in Longboat Key, Florida. In their retirement years, Ann and John were world travelers, exploring many countries together, including Ireland, Spain, France, Belgium, Italy, Germany, Switzerland and Mexico.

Ann Houseman passed away peacefully on August 26, 2024. She is pre-deceased by her beloved daughter, Donna.  She will be greatly missed by all those she has left behind, including her husband, John, children Tracy, John and wife Patty, son-in-law Eric, grandchildren - Lauren, Stephen, Nicole, and Noelle, great grandchild - Julian, and many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews, cousins, neighbors and dear friends. Ann will be remembered for her infectious laugh and generous spirit.
