Obituary of Frank Stallone

Frank J. Stallone, of Forest Hills Gardens, New York, passed away at the age of 92 on November 9, 2016. He was in his home and surrounded by his loving family. Frank was born on February 26, 1924 to parents Maria and Onofrio Stallone. He was raised in Middle Village, New York with his three sisters. He graduated from Grover Cleveland High School in 1943 and began his service in the United States Army in 1944. During World War II, Frank served as a Sergeant and ultimately was awarded a Purple Heart after being wounded during the Battle of the Bulge. While serving in Europe, Frank met his future wife, Evelyn, a private in the British Women's Territorial Army. Frank and Evelyn later married and raised six children. Frank with his partner, John Savignano, started the Ever-Rite Fuel Company. He worked there until his retirement in 1987. Ever-Rite was a successful family business for over fifty years. Frank is survived by his loving wife, Evelyn, his children, Frank Stallone, (Judy), Robert Stallone (Susan), Joseph Stallone (Maria), Marie Driscoll (William), and Peter Stallone. He is also survived by his adoring 14 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren and two sisters, Rose and Anna. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 11, 2016 from 2-5 and 7-9pm at Fox Funeral Home, Forest Hills. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at 9:45am at St. Margaret's RC Church in Middle Village. Burial will follow at St. John's Cemetery in Middle Village.
