GIBERGA, ULISES – born December 12, 1932 in Havana, Cuba. Son of Dr. Ulises Giberga and Hermanna Stusser Giberga.  Survived by his wife of 58 years, Katherine Jane Sughrue Giberga, his daughters Susana Giberga (Derik Alfaro), and Elena Giberga Tompkins (Robert), his son, Peter Giberga (Samantha), and his beloved grandchildren: Jack and Katie Tompkins, and Alexandra, Colette and August Giberga.  Ulises graduated from the Peddie School and Brown University, Magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa.  He had a long, distinguished career with the Chase Manhattan Bank and Republic National Bank of New York (now HSBC).  When he retired, he pursued his lifelong love of acting, most notably with the St. Bart’s Players.  He played squash, tennis, and bridge, and loved to travel, especially with his family and friends.  In lieu of flowers, please support the American Parkinson’s Disease Association (APDA).  Visiting hours at Fox Funeral Home in Forest Hills, NY on Friday, December 6 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10am on Saturday, December 7  at Our Lady of Mercy in Forest Hills, NY.
