Alice M. Knoblauch, died on August 29 at Castle Senior Living in Forest Hills, NY where she had been living near her daughter for the past year. She had previously been a long-time resident of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas. She was born in 1933 in Iola, Kansas to Dale and Mae Newlon. While working at TWA she met and married Bob Knoblauch in 1959, and had a daughter, Perri Ann Parlini. Together they built 3 new homes in 3 different states (Kansas, NY and Arkansas). They also helped build 2 Churches along the way (St. Luke’s in Shawnee, Kansas and Holy Trinity in Hot Springs Village). Alice was a gifted cook and seamstress. At the height of her sewing she created her daughter’s wedding dress and bridesmaid’s dresses. In later years she turned her talent to quilting, which brought her joy and close friends in HSV. She is survived by her daughter, Perri Ann Parlini, son in law Richard, and grandson Nicholas. She also leaves a brother Larry Newlon of Hot Springs Village Arkansas. Her beloved husband Bob predeceased her on 5/13/15; they are together now. Memorial gifts may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America, 322 Eighth Ave., 7th fl., New York, NY 10001.
