Backner, Sally, 82, of Glendale New York, passed on October 17, 2013 after a long struggle with a respiratory illness. Sally was a clinical social worker and psychotherapist with a C.S.W. from Adelphi University and a certificate in individual psychotherapy from Smith College.
Sally had a great sense of humor and loved driving , music and animals, especially her dogs. Proud grandmother of Claire and Sam, beloved mother of Amie, Tom and daughter in law Erika.
Sally made a big difference in the lives of all who knew her, including her patients, friends and family members, especially her husband of fifty years, Burton L. Backner.
