Obituary of Joseph Rudolph Geiger

Joseph R. Geiger, 75, passed away on Monday, July 23, 2018, in Queens, NY, after a long battle following a stroke. He was surrounded by his loving family and friends.

Joe was born in Astoria, NY on September 20, 1942 to parents Dionis and Lilian Geiger. He was a successful business owner of a Heating and Plumbing Business.  He had a great love of the outdoors and especially deep sea fishing with his family and friends.

He is survived by his three sons, Vincent and his wife Melani, Steven and his wife Lori and Michael. He is also survived by Mary, mother of his three sons who provided loving, comfort care for many years following his stroke. He was also the proud grandfather of 5 grandchildren, Bryanna, Vincent, Steven, Michael and Anthony.   Also surviving is his ex-sister-in-law Christina Kulawas.  Preceding him in death were his parents, Dionis and Lilian, and younger brother, Walter.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 26th and Friday, July 27th from 2:00pm-5:00pm and 7:00pm-9:00pm at Fox Funeral Home, 98-07 Ascan Avenue, Forest Hills, NY 11375. Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, July 28th at 9:45am at Our Lady of Mercy Parish Family, 70-01 Kessel St, Forest Hills, NY 11375.

Joe will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
