Obituary of Sally Jeanne Conlon

Please share a memory of Sally to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Born on August 12, 1941 in Dayton Ohio to parents Olivia and Ralph Focht. Wife of the late Dr. John Conlon.  Sister of the late Sue Zimmer. Sally passed on January 3, 2019.  She was the loving mother of Jay, Stephen, Jackie, Jeff, and Kelly. Mother in law to William, Joe, Maryellen, and Carolyn. Grandmother of Patrick, Caitlin, Maddison, Rowen, Elish, Colleen, Shane, Danny, Ryan, Michael, Nicholas, Luke, Willie, Kristen, Jenny, Kayla, Christopher, Cody, Sara and Kailey. Great grandmother of Caleb, Emma, and Ellie.

Sally spent 27 years as a loving mother and wife, coaching sports teams, running CYO programs, and was known as Coach, Mom, and Mrs. C to many neighborhood kids. In 1987, when her husband passed away, she journeyed on to nursing school and in two years graduated valedictorian of her class. She continued for the next two decades working labor and delivery at St. John Queens Hospital. Sally passed away in her home surrounded by her five adult children at her side. She fought long and hard and will always be remembered as an ardent caregiver, loving friend, and incredible example of love in its purest form.
