Dear Hachmann family I am so sorry for you loss, she was a wonderful woman. Doña Evangelina as we called her on our end was a great woman to visit with. Eve was a wonderful person. We enjoyed visiting the family in Setaucket and have a lot of great memories to cherish forever. We enjoyed talking to Eve on our visits and she will be missed greatly. RIP Our condolences to the family

Eve was not only my neighbor in Forest Hills but a friend as well. Many a summer I spent out in Setauket with the family and I became part of their family. I remember the twinkle in her eyes and the contagious laughter that she had. Thank you for being a good friend when I truly needed someone to lean on. YOU will be missed by everyone whose lives you have touched. R.I.P.

I have nothing but wonderful memories of Aunt Vangie and Uncle Hans...as a little girl I loved to visit them in NYC and all the excitement of the city and time spent with their family; as an adult I looked forward to seeing Aunt Vangie at the family events...she always had time to sit and talk and share memories...she was loved by all and will be greatly missed. My prayer and heartfelt sympathy goes out to her wonderful family.
