My heart is breaking to know that I will never hear your gentle voice or feel your hug again! You have always been one of my most favorite people in this world. I used to love coming and staying at your house when i was a little girl and listening to you sing John back to sleep. I can't think of anyone luckier than John and Stasia to have had you as Mom! Your kind, gentle and non-judgemental ways will be forever missed! It makes me feel better to know that you will be reunited with Rudy! I love you both with all my heart. --Jennifer Passannante

There is a Jewish belief that there are 36 special people in the world and that, if not for them, the world would end.
Even if Wanda was not officially one of them, she was one of the most special people the world has ever known.
Her love, her intelligence, her ability to give to others, to work for what she believed in, her humor, she was an exceptional person, wife, mother, friend, educator, advocate, force for good, yet with a wicked sense of humor.
Her love for her son Jon and her daughter-in-law Sasha was fierce, beautiful, and life giving.
I served with Wanda on the PA board of PS 101Q. which was just declared one of the best schools in the country. Part of that honor was due to Wanda's legacy when she fought for the education of every child in the school, or anywhere else, making sure they received whatever special services they required. They may not know about the wonderful woman who fought for their education, but they benefit from her work over twenty years later.
We also served on the PTA of The Academy of American Studies, because Wanda's dedication to her beloved son Jon's education continued throughout college and beyond.
We will miss her deeply, but take comfort in the love and good she created in our world, and joy that we knew her.
We will never forget her, nor meet anyone who can hold a candle to her. She is the best person I've ever known, and has always been an inspiration in her ability to accept people as they are, and love them for it.
If there is a Heaven, Wanda's there attending an Elvis concert, front row center seat, with her beloved Rudy by her side.

Such a very sad day, saying goodbye to my beloved cousin.
Wanda and I were more like little sisters when we were youngsters~~~~~~~~~~~~~~in fact our families even lived together for a short while during the war (WW2).
As little kids, I just loved being with her, whether swinging on their back yard swing, playing with her in her doll house that Uncle Mickie, her dad, built for her, or walking across Union Turnpike to Forest Park and playing on the playground equipment.
Stephen & Tommy also would hang around & enjoyed getting together climbing tree in the lot next to their house.
When we were a little older I have such happy memories of Saturday afternoons ice-skating at the NY Pavilion out at the World's Fair grounds.
As we got older, & married, my family cherished the many Christmases we had at Wanda & Rudy's house. I remember one in particular when our girls were young, Uncle Mickie dressed up as Santa & we took pictures with him!
Also our cookouts, at our house in NJ.
Joelle & Jennifer just loved Wanda & Rudy. Joel could spend hours talking to Rudy.
It was so hard to say goodbye to Rudy a few years ago when he suddenly passed away.
And devastating for us to also lose Wanda yesterday, also so suddenly.
There seems such a void! We can't imagine life without her in it.
Our hearts are breaking, but I find some comfort in knowing we will see her again one day.
All our love,
especially to Stascia & John
And to Tom & his family, and all who loved her.
