Obituary of Mary C Shea

Please share a memory of Mary to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Mary C. Shea, “Molly,” age 95, died on November 22, 2019.
The beloved wife of the late Dennis D. Shea, she is survived by her devoted children Timothy, Dennis (Elizabeth) and Moira (Mauro) and her dear sisters, Jeanne Clarke and Alyce Joyce.
Known for her beautiful auburn hair and luminous blue eyes, Molly grew up in northeastern Pennsylvania, one of three daughters of the late Edward and Regina (“Muddy”) Clarke. An excellent student, she graduated from Marywood College (BA, magna cum laude) and Catholic University (MA). After moving to Forest Hills in 1964, Molly eventually returned to teaching and taught at the high school level in the New York City Catholic School system for more than twenty years. She was a devout parishioner of Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church.

Kind, generous and fiercely protective of her loved ones, Molly derived her greatest pleasure from her children and was happiest when the family gathered  together for celebrations. Never a complainer, she often closed a conversation with these words: “Remember, there is always something to be thankful for.”
