Phyliseta Morris 87, of Queens N.Y passed away on May 7th, 2021. Phyliseta was born on March 29th 1934, in Clarendon Jamaica, to Uriah Hezikiah Morris and Sarah Simpson Morris. Phylis (as she was called) had two brothers Cleo and Robert, and three sisters Gladys, Mercedes and Louisa. Phylis immigrated to England in the late 50’s and married Kenneth Douglas. At the time Phylis had two children Melbourne and Maxine. Phylis went on to have four other children with her husband, Kenneth Jr, Barrington, Michael and Barbara. Phylis moved to the United States in 1978 and settled in Boston, where she worked for Pioneer Investment Company until she retired. When she retired, she decided to move to Georgia for a quieter way of life. She was a very active member of the Newnan Presbyterian Church, and sang in the church choir. She loved to cook and bake, and in her later years maintained a very healthy lifestyle. Phylis leaves to cherish her memory her children Melbourne, Maxine, Barrington, Michael and Barbara. Grandchildren Eugene and wife Maria Ana, Sabrina and Chloe. Great grandchildren Shyann and Taylor, a daughter-in-law Elaine, along with nieces, nephews, cousins, brother in-law and a host of friends. Phylis was preceded in death by her parents Uriah and Sarah, her brothers Cleo and Robert, sisters Gladys, Mercedes and Louisa and son Kenneth.
