Deanna (Deede) Margaret (Smith) Lancer passed away on June 10,2021 in New York after a short illness. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert A. Lancer. Deanna leaves behind her sons Robert (Andrea) Lancer and Christopher (Tammy) Lancer and grandchildren, Matthew and Ashley Lancer. Deanna was the daughter of the late Margaret and Arthur Smith, sister to Susan (Smith) Latz and Una Smith. She was predeceased by her brothers Arthur, Robert, Herbert, and Richard Smith. Deanna was an honors graduate of Traphagen School of Design in NYC. Her excellence in art, sewing and fashion led her to work in the New York fashion industry as a children’s clothing designer for over 50 years. She designed and created many outstanding wedding dresses for her family and friends. Donations in Deede’s memory may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital at stjude.org which was an organization dear to her heart.
