Obituary of Peter Cusumano

Please share a memory of Peter to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Peter Cusumano died on January 14, 2022 at the age of 75, after a long battle with early-onset dementia.

Peter was born on March 22, 1946 to Giuseppe and Vita Cusumano in Borgetto, Sicily. He began working in restaurants at the age of 9, which sparked his lifelong passion for the business. When he immigrated to New York in the early 1970’s, he continued working in the industry and ultimately opened his own restaurant in Queens, NY. That restaurant, Tutto Bene, thrived for more than thirty years.

In 1980, Peter was happily married to Rosa Sabrina.

Peter is survived by his wife, their 3 children Barbara, Joseph, and Michelle, and his two sisters Bettina and Anna.

Peter will be remembered for his charismatic personality, his love and admiration for this country, his humor, his desire to entertain, his willingness to help others, his fandom of the Mets and Frank Sinatra, and above all else, his love for his family and friends.
