There WAS something about Mary! She could make you laugh with abandon as in my favorite photo with her. She cared about relationships and shared from her heart what she felt .Together Mary and Tony majorly supported the Sacred Music Society for almost 40 years and were generous to me as well. I am so privileged to have had your friendship so many years. I never felt an age difference because you lived forever young. Mary you will stay in my heart and thoughts always. Linda

My Aunt Mary had a most generous heart. I remember the first time I met her. I was very young. I was at the top of the stairs on the third floor at Ascan Ave and watched Aunt Mary as she climbed those stairs. She said “I’m your Aunt Mary and we have the same birthday!” It was love at first sight. She introduced me to pineapple that day! When I was around 13 years old, she had tickets to the Nutcracker Suite. She said come on Kathy, you come with us. That was the very first time I had ever gone to something like that! When I went off to college, she made it a point to let me know that my Aunt Mary was always there if I ever needed guidance. When my Dad passed away, she stayed with my Mom for a week to help her through it. And when Aunt Mary saw how much my Mom struggled to get up the stairs and how difficult it was for her aide Sabita to help, she ordered Mom a deluxe Acorn Stair lift. Not only that, she made me get rid of the “Grandma” couch with plastic all over it and bought a new couch. There are many other memories—too long to list (like the “WOW” Thanksgiving dinners). I was so lucky to have her as my Aunt for so many years.
