Obituary of Pedro Julio Cintron

On September 29, 2022, our loving father Pedro J. Cintron passed away at the age of 90.

He was born on April 12^th, 1932, in Yabucoa, Puerto Rico. He lived in Puerto Rico until the age of 18 before relocating to Buffalo, NY where he worked tirelessly to earn enough income to move to New York City for greater opportunities.

Pedro enjoyed making others smile, laugh and more than anything else probably watching movies. That is how he met and married our lovely mother Maria A. Cintron. They met at a movie theater through his laughter, which she found irritating, but also loved.

He was full of wisdom from all the lessons he learned throughout his life. No matter how hard the challenges, he always saw his cup as half full. He loved his family and touched the hearts of everyone he encountered.

One of the things he will be remembered most for is how he always responded to “I love you” with “I love you more”. He was a father of four and is survived by his three children Ivonne, Lillian, and Pedro Jr. There is great comfort in knowing he is finally with his youngest daughter, Daisy, who was taken too early in life and meant the world to him.  Additionally, he is survived by 9 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on October 7^th, 2022, at Fox Funeral Home, at 98-07 Ascan Ave., Forest Hills, NY 11375 (718-268-7711). The viewing will be between 12-1 pm and Internment Ceremony is to follow at Maple Grove Cemetery at 1:30p.
