Obituary of Yannic Nicolai Anthony Williams

Yannic was the second and youngest child of Joseph Williams and Carol-Gaye Morris-Williams. He and his brother Kristof Williams were raised in Forest Hills. Yannic later resided in Boston, Massachusetts, where he attended college. Yannic was a product of a Catholic religious and educational experience that started right here at Our Lady Queen of Martyrs from Nursery, then Pre-k through 8^th Grade. Both Yannic and Kristof were introduced to the church and school via the family of Jim and Nancy Badagliacca. He was also an alter server while attending the school.

After graduating from Our Lady Queen of Martyrs, Yannic went to Holy Cross High School, also here in Queens, where he excelled academically making the Honor Roll and he also played on the Holy Cross varsity basketball team. Those accomplishments earned him academic and athletic scholarships for entry to Emmanuel College in Boston, another Catholic institution.

Beyond his academic and athletic achievements, Yannic also had a passion for music where he would immerse himself in the creative and business sides of the art by engaging in the writing, singing, producing and marketing processes. He has released his music on several platforms. Post-college, Yannic worked in Information Systems Management for Amazon and balanced that with continued work on his creative interests.

- His brother Kristof Williams

Yannic leaves fifteen first cousins throughout the United States and United Kingdom. An extended family spans the globe from the US, Jamaica, Canada, Belize, UK, Europe. His friends were equally as vast from various communities in arts & entertainment, athletics, and social groups throughout New York, Boston, Atlanta and other places throughout the nation.

His mother, Carol-Gaye Morris, preceded him in death on September 28, 2023.

Yannic was both loved and admired. He was a beautiful son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, friend and partner who will be dearly missed.

Our Lady Queen of Martyrs on Saturday July 27th, 2024 @10.30 a.m.
