Q: What 3 words best describe Helen and why?
A: For my beloved Helen. I miss you more than I can ever say. It has been almost three weeks since you left, time which I still have difficulty comprehending and accepting. Our children, determined Dan Jr. and devoted heroic Jenny, convinced me that I must view the Fox Funeral website to read the comments of her friends and family, It was with great anxiety that this task would cloud my memory of you and close an avenue to your presence forever. It was a mistaken emotion. I was wrong and I am so sorry not to realize that life is not complete without this ending and your eternal rest.
I want to thank all of your friends and family especially Natasha and Andrei for the comfort and help they gave to me. For the rest of my lifetime I will see you every day. I want to apologize to your friends and family, and most to you, for failing in my only task to keep you safe while I slept at your side without realizing your state of peril. Goodbye my Helen for now, until we meet again.

To my Mom,
Thank you for all the love, care, and devotion you gave to me throughout my life. I will always remember your support for me in bringing me up and throughout my school years, which was so instrumental in helping me make it to today.
While I am sad at your passing, upon reflection, I am happy and very grateful that you were able to be with us, as I started my own family.
Natasha, Andrei, and I will always love you and miss you. Rest now in peace.
Daniel Jr.

My Dear Helen,
You left us unexpectedly. I hoped you know how loved you are, even though we don't talk very often.
I will always remember how funny and opinionated you were when we sisters engaged in our family discussions, with your good sense of humor, complete with your humorous facial expressions.
You will be terribly miss, but you will continue to live on in our hearts. I am not saying goodbye forever but goodbye for now.
Rest in Peace, my dear sister Helen.

We are sisters, I am younger by 2 years, we share the same friends and classmates.
My best memory of dear Helen was her wedding song “the first time I ever saw your face”. So memorable.
Her life is admirable.. carrying on until the end… I will miss and love her always. I’ll see you in the afterlife.

My dearest Helen, I miss you so much, know that I love you, our shared memories from childhood, our ups and downs, our
conversations, our laughter over anything, your honesty telling it like it is. It was pure joy and I always looked forward to calling
you and receiving your calls. I miss it very much. May the Lord's perpetual light shine upon you always and may you rest in peace.
God bless you,
Your loving sister Susan

An open letter to my Sister-in-Law, Helen Hwang.
Dear Helen,
It was just a week or so before your journey to heaven, we last spoke. I recall laughing with you and anticipating seeing you. You sounded great so I knew you would be home soon. When Cynthia and I heard the news, we did not want to accept the truth. We had been praying for you but, God wanted you to come home. Ever since I have been reflecting on the past and all the good times we shared. We will truly miss being with the family, especially at Thanksgiving dinner. It was a time to share laughter and stories from the past and present. Those are the good times we will miss the most. Since meeting you many years ago, I first noticed your endless caring and compassion for others. I have always admired you for showing an abundance of love for your entire family. Also, it was so easy to talk with you because you just said what was on your mind. Our conversations truly brought joy to me, because you were just being yourself. Now all of us have to move forward without you, and of course, there will always be sadness in our hearts. Hopefully, your life is an example to all of us; to remember how important each member is to our family. As the expression goes, “You never know when your time is up”.
Helen, please pray for the family as we continue to pray for you. These are just a few words I wanted to express but, never took the time to say. When you speak with the good Lord, please put in a few good words for all of us. We certainly can use all the help we can get. Also, please give our love to Mama and Pops. We Love you! God bless you.
With all our Love,
Brother-in-Law Don & Sister Cynthia

Dear Helen,
May you rest in peace in heaven together with Mama, Papa and Kuyang. I am fortunate to be your youngest sister, designated chaperone on your dates with Danny and flower girl at your wedding. I’ve known how generous you can be, very honest, brutally frank , kind, can have a wicked sense of humor, and fiercely loving to her children. You have worked hard throughout your life all for the sake of your children, to give them the best education and support they need despite your health issues. You will be greatly missed.
Love you always,
Jean

I am deeply sorry for your loss. Although I did not have the privilege of knowing Helen personally, my connection with Jenny is proof enough that she lived a life worth living. The love and strength she instilled in those around her are a testament to her remarkable spirit. Please know that my thoughts are with you during this difficult time.
